Huffman Technologies, LLC (HTLLC) offers multi-axis grinding and laser powder fusion welding (cladding) process development and production.

We focus on high precision, prismatic, multi-axis applications; particularly for high-value components involving superalloys and other materials for the flight and industrial gas turbine, medical, vehicle, and other industries.

Core processes of grinding and laser welding are done on machine systems from Huffman Corporation, our parent company since 2001. These systems deliver exceptional technological and commercial results to our customers. In many cases, we can provide a unique competitive advantage to our customers through the synergy of our products and processes. The legendary reliability and process capability of Huffman systems are especially valued for flight-critical or otherwise high-value, precise components.

Some of many grinding applications for the turbine industry include: Nozzle Guide Vanes, Nozzles, Vane Segments, Shrouds, HPT, LPT, HPC and LPC Blade (root forms (including radial or circumferential root forms), Z-notches, seals, tips, angel wings, etc.), Blade Tip & Profile recontouring, Shrouds, Turbine & Compressor Disk Root Form Slots. Grinding applications for the vehicle market include Diesel Fuel Injectors and Turbocharger Wheels. For the orthopedics market: Femoral Knee Implants, Hip Rasps (Broaches) and Surgical Instruments.

Our Laser Welding capabilities include Powder Fusion Welding Repairs of a wide variety of turbine components including Nozzle Guide Vanes, leading and trailing edges and tips of Turbine and Compressor Blades; Z-notch Hardface Welding; and Blisk Repair.
